Boa Studios is an agency that helps photo, video, film, and event producers get the right day rental space for their projects.  

 

NEWS FLASH - we are negotiating a lease on a new 5000 square foot studio in Etobicoke, with 20' ceilings, 12' x 10' drive-in bay door, and plan on having a 40' white cove and a 20' greenscreen cove (both with a 5' radius). Lease starts February, and will be booking for April. Discount plans for regular users and shared office space available for allied professionals: photographers, videographers, retouchers, editors, graphic & web designers, motion graphics. Pre-launch discount offer! Between Jan 20 until Feb 28, we are offering a limited supply of up to 100 pre-paid shoot days in either of the two studios for half-rate, to be used after March 31, 2012, and good for 1 year. 

 

We represent photo and videos studios, ranging from tiny to huge, for all budgets, throughout Toronto, and expanding into neighboring locales. The venues are a mix of under-booked established rental studios, startup studios, private studios, corporate studios, special-use buildings such as auditoriums, gyms, restaurants, offices; property developers with spaces between tenants, etc. Both parties benefit from Mir's 25 years of deep photo & video industry production knowledge, attention to detail, and a growing database of information, allowing easy space comparisons and sound decisions. We also work with many studios doing referrals, and have detailed knowledge and inside info on most available studios in Toronto. We have been in the studio rental biz since 1998, and have seen many of today's pricing and service concepts that make the shooting scene so healthy in Toronto now, being originated by Boa Studios. 

 

Our pricing is comparable to working directly with a space, but you will find it will go smoother with us being involved, and will often save you additional costs by using our production insight, knowing all the details of a space and its owner's temperament, knowing the creative brief and parties involved and their individual needs, and creating solutions to problems before they arise.

We are about to start developing a 5000 sq. ft photo & video studio / soundstage in Etobicoke Ontario, so please give us a shout if this interests you. 3000 sq. ft open shooting area (approx 70' x 65', 18' clear, 20' total ceiling height, with a 40' cyclorama with a 70' shoot distance. Easily do 3 sets at once. Tons of free parking and easy access from the Gardner Expressway / QEW, as well as TTC. on-site workshop for light modifications & set construction. Studio will have 15.5' rolling staircase to reach ceiling and ceiling shooting platform easily and do aerial angles.Some shared office space will also be available there, and "frequent user" packages. Rent is dependent on specific office chosen, included furniture, use of boardroom, imaging, reception, and studio. Utilities, high-speed internet, Meridian system with landline(s), fax machine, etc will be included.
